We expect all members to read and be aware of the rules. Failure to read the rules does not exempt any member from them. Any additions or alterations to the rules will be posted in an announcement so that all members are aware of them. Violations of any of the rules will be addressed in a manner fitting the violation.
|| SbtM does not tolerate harassment or bullying of any kind. You are not required to like your fellow players or staff members, but you are asked to show respect. If you cannot role play with a certain member, refrain from doing so. If the personal issues need to be addressed by a staff member, do not hesitate to come to one of us. Absolutely will you not air drama out on the forum or in the chat box. Members will only get one warning about out of character drama.
|| SbtM may not have adult ratings, but it is considered an advanced forum and we ask that players be 17 years of age or older.
|| The Forum rating is strictly PG-13. This means that swearing is permitted but may not be used excessively, sexual innuendo is permitted, and mild violence. Sexual acts may not be written out nor is graphic description allowed. You may utilize fade to black if the situation calls for it. Violence must not be overly descriptive. Gore and detailed explanations of torture are not permitted. Any thread/post in direct violation of this rule will be deleted without warning. Any thread/post that are dangerously close to crossing that line may be subject to admin requested edits.
|| A play-by or a face claim is required. Though it is based on an anime, we ask that the face claim be a real person (ie: celebrity or model).
|| Canons are expected to post at least two times a week. Non-canons are asked to post at least one time a week. Please notify an admin or post in the away board if you plan on being gone for longer than a week.
|| Graphics are permitted. Avatars must be no bigger than 100x100. Signatures must be no bigger than 500X200. Adult content is not permitted in avatars or signatures.
|| Godmodding or controlling the actions of another player's character is prohibited. Do not do this unless you've been given permission by the player to move their person around.
|| There is no character limit. We only ask that players only take on what they can handle. If activity begins to suffer due to the number of characters a person has, we may ask that they retire some.
|| Players may have no more than two games specific canon characters. Exceptions may be permitted at the discretion of the administrators.
|| Once an original character has hit twenty-five posts, they are considered canon to the game. Though not subject to the same posting rules as the game specific canon characters, the administrators reserve the right to adopt the character out if the player leaves the game without notice. The original creator of the character MUST receive credit if the character is adopted.
|| There is no word count on SbtM. Just make sure you post enough for whoever you're tagging with to play off of.
|| Every action has a reaction. That means that in character actions = in character consequences. Since SbtM is basically a retelling of the Sailor Moon story and the plot is player driven, there is no promise to ensure the well being of any character . . . including the game specific canons. Make sure that you are willing to play out the consequences of an ill calculated action before you rush head long into battle.
|| At the heart of it all, Sailor Moon is about the age old war between good and evil. In a war people get hurt. And sometimes people die. Know that character death is a very real possibility and though in Sailor Moon it has been known that people come back, this is not a fact that a player should rely on for too long. Very rarely will the plot allow for Sailor Moon to revive any of her fallen comrades, so if you plan on killing off a Sailor Soldier, be aware that they might be dead for a long time before they come back. Characters that aren't Sailor Soldiers may suffer a more permanent fate.
|| Aside from the antagonists of the plot, the only Sailor Senshi that are permitted at this time are those that are canon. Original senshi may or may not be allowed at a later date, but for now, only those that have been stated in the anime or the manga. Again, the Constellation Soldiers are the only exceptions.
